weekly lessons began to build

upon the nimble fingers

of Joan, the student, learning now

the ins and outs of music

Evonne doted over her

the making of a master

to her was not the trivial pursuit

of what was plain and useless

one more soul versed in the arts

of working the musical machine

added to the importance of her time

she enjoyed this music scene

for a while the outside world

faded away in consequence

not seeing nature other than

relationships to sounded clips

                  

lessons added to

skill of the moving hands

gave to both satisfaction

over ability's rapid progression

those tones which verified
the love one has for harmony
sweetened life as if by honey
spooned into boiling tea
